New Support Materials Launched

A new series of leaflets and videos have been developed by a multi-professional panel to support the 'Managing Adult Malnutrition in the Community' document and are now available for download from this website.

There are two leaflets for use with patients and carers:

- 'Your Guide to Making the Most of Your Food': this provides some simple ideas as to how patients can get the most nutrition from the food they are eating

- 'Nutrition Drinks (known as oral nutritional supplements) - advice for patients and carers': this gives information on why patients will have been prescribed oral nutritional supplements and offers them general advice on getting the most from their supplements

In addition there is a further leaflet aimed at healthcare professionals:

-'Managing Malnutrition with Oral Nutritional Supplements (ONS) - advice for healthcare professionals': this gives professionals an overview of malnutrition, the types of ONS available and the patients who might benefit from their prescription.  It is a quick guide which details different styles, flavours and products.

Three new videos have also been uploaded to the website which include interviews with key professionals involved in the management of malnutrition in the UK.
